Finance and Economics College

The foundations of the institution were laid in 1934 with the establishment of the School of National Economy Accounting. Between 1934 and 1936, it operated as the Baku School of National Economy Accounting, and from 1936 onward as the Baku Technical School of National Economy Accounting. In July 1966, the institution was renamed the Finance and Credit Technical School. By Resolution No. 119 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 3 March 1992, it was renamed the Azerbaijan Finance and Economics College. As an educational institution specializing in the training of mid-level economics professionals, it is the first college of its kind in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Pursuant to Resolution No. 280 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 17 August 2015, the Azerbaijan Finance and Economics College was reorganized as the Finance and Economics College operating under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
