Humayra Mustafayeva Teymur was born on March 3, 1971, in Baku.
She graduated from Secondary School No. 9 in Baku with a gold medal.
In 1988, she was admitted to the Faculty of History at Baku State University as a full-time student and, in 1993, graduated with honors as a historian and history teacher.
In 2010, she enrolled in the distance education program of the “Finance and Credit” Faculty at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and successfully completed her studies in this specialization in 2012.
From 1994 to 1997, she worked at the Department of Political Science and Law of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Economics as a laboratory assistant and senior laboratory assistant.
During the 1996–1997 academic year, she taught as an hourly-paid instructor at the same department.
Between 1997 and 2016, she held the positions of lecturer and senior lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Sociology of UNEC.
In 2010, she defended her кандидат (PhD) dissertation and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Philosophy. From 2016, she worked as an associate professor at the same department.
She is currently employed as a part-time (0.5 FTE) associate professor at the Department of Humanities of UNEC.
Since 2020, she has been a part-time doctoral candidate in Political Theory under the Doctor of Sciences program at the Department of Political Science and Sociology of Baku State University.
Since 2023, she has been serving as the Head of the Department of General Subjects at Baku Engineering University.
She has received certificates for the programs “Introduction to Multiculturalism” (2018), “Azerbaijani Multiculturalism” (2019), and “Soft Skills” (2022).
In 2023, for her active participation in the academic and social life of UNEC, she was awarded a Letter of Appreciation by the Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov.
She is married and has two children.
