From 2007 to 2010, he studied Tourism and Management at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems (Austria) and obtained a Bachelor’s degree with honors.
From 2012 to 2015, he completed his Master’s degree in the same field at the same university.

He has over 12 years of professional experience working in managerial positions in international and local tourism enterprises as well as in organizing major state-level events.
Between 2017 and 2019, he worked at the Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University as Deputy Dean and later as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
From 2018 to 2021, he served as Head of the Education and Training Sector at the Tourism Policy and Strategy Department of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
While working in this position, he coordinated the strategic activities of several higher and secondary education institutions. He also led the implementation of educational projects involving international organizations, private companies, and government institutions.
Since 2016, he has been engaged in academic teaching, delivering courses in tourism, marketing, and management in English, as well as supervising students’ academic research.
In February 2022, he was appointed Head of the Quality Assurance Department.
Since October 18, 2024, he has been serving as Vice-Rector for International Relations and Programs.
He is currently a Lecturer at the Department of International Economics and Business (English-medium).

According to the decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 14, 2021, Huseyn Hasanov was awarded the degree of PhD in Economics.
He specializes in developing and implementing strategic plans for quality assurance and international cooperation in higher education institutions, as well as international and national institutional/program accreditation and dual degree programs.
