One of the most important duties of the polyclinic is the annual dispensarization of students. Its main purpose is to detect non-communicable diseases that may lead to disability or premature mortality. Preventive measures, early diagnosis, and timely and proper medical assessment help identify the causes of chronic
non-communicable diseases and reduce the severity of conditions already present in affected individuals.
Every day, university faculty and staff members apply to the polyclinic for medical assistance and are provided with the necessary care. Currently, an Electronic Health program is being developed and implemented. It includes the creation of electronic health records for students, online medical consultations and appointment scheduling, inter-building communication, creation of an electronic database for the assigned student population, and other services.
Students are provided with free and high-quality medical services at the polyclinic in the following fields:
▪️ General practitioner (Therapist)
▪️ Ophthalmologist
▪️ Dentist
▪️ Neurologist
▪️ Ultrasound examination (US)
Status of the Polyclinic
Formally, student polyclinics are subordinate to the Baku City Health Department and have no legal affiliation with higher education institutions.
At the same time, they operate within university buildings.
