Legal Department

The purpose of the Legal Department is to address legal matters related to the University’s activities and to ensure that all processes are carried out in compliance with current legislation.

The Legal Department of UNEC was established on 7 April 2014 on the basis of the Decision of the University’s Academic Council dated 17 March 2014. The Department’s Regulations were approved at the meeting of the Academic Council on 29 May 2014. The Department ensures that UNEC’s activities are conducted in accordance with the law and organizes the development of the University’s regulatory and legal framework. Its main functions include organizing contractual work at UNEC, handling claims and legal demands, and ensuring the protection of the University’s rights and legitimate interests before courts, state authorities, and individuals and legal entities on  the

basis of powers of attorney. The Department also carries out legal analysis and expert review. In addition, the Department provides legal opinions on draft protocols, contracts, orders, instructions, and other documents, oversees the conduct of legal expertise and regulatory support by UNEC’s structural units as well as by enterprises, institutions, and organizations under its authority, provides guidance and legal advice to structural units and staff members, and monitors changes in legislation, informing the relevant UNEC structures accordingly.
